The 2018 BMW M3 CS is a limited-production high-performance sedan developed as a more focused evolution of the F80 M3 platform. Its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six produces 453 horsepower and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for rapid, closely controlled shifts. Rear-wheel drive, an active M differential, and chassis-specific tuning give the M3 CS sharp turn-in, strong corner-exit traction, and highly responsive transient behavior.

BMW reduced weight through selective use of lightweight components while refining suspension calibration, steering, and aerodynamics to increase precision at higher speeds. The result is a sedan with stronger track capability and more direct road feel than the standard M3. Inside, the car balances everyday practicality with M-specific materials, sport seats, and focused instrumentation.
